About SF Bay Area EA

Hi, nice to meet you! 

We are a volunteer-based group of locals who are interested in having a welcoming, safe, and impactful Bay Area EA community. In 2023, Allison and Valmik came together with the vision of bringing their individual events under a larger regional umbrella-org to improve coordination and reduce redundancies. 

Here are a few other things to know about us:

• We are all volunteers. We will try to respond to all correspondence and requests as quick as we can, but us organizers are balancing many other individual priorities. We just ask for patience. If you've requested a 1-on-1 from us a couple days ago and haven't heard back, please give us another few days to respond. But, if its been over a week, feel free to follow up!
  
• We are regional. And as you probably know, the region is huge. It is impossible for us to host events everywhere and about everything. If you have an idea for a meetup or activity, we'd love to chat about how we can support you as an event organizer. Express your interest in volunteering.
  
• We are a professional group. We recognize the value of personal connections and friendships, and that many lead to greater opportunities. We are happy to encourage connections, but in a professional setting. That means we will not be hosting a Friday night rager or dating event. In SF Bay Area EA-hosted events and online spaces, we will be enforcing a Code of Conduct in order to keep the spaces friendly and safe.
